Forty years between workshop and computer.
I repaired plants before I controlled them, and I saw businesses from the inside before I wrote software for them. That is the difference you will notice.
Career
- Trade
Apprenticeship as a car mechanic. Then workshop and stores management — responsibility for material, deadlines and people, not just spanners.
- Plant construction
Car-wash systems: installation, commissioning, service. Plants that have to run every day and where an outage costs money immediately.
- Process engineering
Around ten years of metering, dosing and UV technology. Sizing, commissioning and troubleshooting on plants where the dosing has to be exact.
- Hospitality
Since 2020 in field service for dishwashing and hygiene technology. Daily in kitchens and businesses — I know how decisions are made there and what projects fail on.
- Live sound
Live mixing at events with my own PA system. Where nothing is repeatable, you learn to think of everything beforehand.
- Development
For some years now, own devices and software: PCBs, firmware, apps, server services. Born from the wish to build tools that did not exist in that form.
How I work
In writing
I think and work best in text. Requirements, intermediate versions, handover — everything readable afterwards. I keep meetings short or replace them with a clear note.
At a fixed price
You should know what something costs before you commit. So I outline the scope in writing and name a price that holds.
With modern tools
I use AI-assisted development tools. That makes me, as a single person, as fast as a small team — with full responsibility for the result, which I check and stand behind.
Without lock-in
What I build belongs to you: source code, design data, documentation. You can carry on yourself at any time or commission someone else.
Location-independent, reliably reachable
I work part of the year from South America. For you, nothing changes: I answer enquiries within two business days, I keep deadlines, and deliveries go through Switzerland. Should a call be necessary, we will find a time slot.
